Feet First, Evidence Always: Why This Matters
Grounded in Research, Delivered with Sole. The techniques we teach at the Center for Barefoot Massage aren’t guesswork—they’re grounded in the latest research and taught through feet-on, in-person training so that while you get a literal feel from the sole of this work, you will also really feel the SOUL of this work in our theory, intention and integrity.
The future of massage is a foot. We plan to be here for a long long time while we continually extend massage careers and disrupt the industry averages: so wherever you are in your LMT journey, you can always “Get Centered” and bring your practice into the future with us at the Center for Barefoot Massage.
1st
Step: FasciAshi Fundamentals
Your Barefoot Massage journey starts here. This beginner Myofascial Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage training will teach you how to use your feet to provide a full body deep tissue, myofascial release and trigger point work focused barefoot massage session.
Complete this class to gain access to the Relaxation based barefoot massage track of classes.

Or
Alternate 1st Step: Fijian Barefoot Massage

Would you rather focus on a matwork style of barefoot massage? Fijian Barefoot Massage is performed with the client clothed, laying on a padded floor mat - not up on a massage table. You have many options to stay seated in a chair, the floor or a support strap - no overhead support system is required.
Attendance in this class WILL NOT give you access to the Intermediate or ROM classes.

3rd
Step: Advanced
This advanced level class empowers the experienced ashiatsu barefoot massage therapist to work with more difficult single and double footed strokes, potentially applying their full bodyweight as “kneaded.” Strokes are performed with the client in Prone, Anterior and Sidelying positions, while the therapist massages from varying angles of pressure to achieve a safe, deep, Myofascial Ashiatsu Barefoot massage focusing on structural alignment.
Complete this class and you'll have access to the Clinical Barefoot Massage Track of Classes

Each class builds on the last - there is a progression to not only the difficulty of the techniques, but also to the depth of theory applied within the work. We recommend you allow 6 months between each level of training when possible, and use that time to practice, and really get to know the work before moving on.
The deeper you get into your FasciAshi training, the more you can niche down into your specialty. We'll be releasing new Track classes each year, building the rosters within our Sensory (previously known as our Relaxation Track), Sports and Clinical areas of study. Every Massage Therapist is different based on their training and experiences - and so should every Barefoot Massage Therapist!
